Our Community offerings provide a way to make wellness and self care part of everyday life, not just a luxury. cityWell from the beginning, has had a mission of providing an affordable & accessible health care to a wide range of urban wellness seekers.

Community has two meanings: one that brings community together in a wellness space during community hydro sessions and the other is pricing, providing the community with more accessible ways to care for one’s body and mind. Now more than ever we believe we need these moments to connect with others and care for ourselves.

Acupuncture and cupping are effective tools for calming the nervous system, relieving pain, harmonizing the mind, body and spirit and so much more! We are excited to bring unique acupuncture, and cupping experiences to cityWell. All sessions include aromatherapy & hot stones.

About Acupuncture

For those who may be skeptical about acupuncture, it is very possible to generally dislike needles yet still love acupuncture.

Acupuncture needles are solid stainless steel and about the width of a human hair. They are extremely different from the hollow hypodermic needles used to draw blood.

Clients may experience a tiny pinch upon insertions, but once the points are in, there should be no discomfort. If you are feeling uncomfortable, never hesitate to let your practitioner know and they will make adjustments. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing and may even fall asleep during treatment.

Acupuncture can help with many kinds of chronic ailments, both mental and physical, such as anxiety disorder, depression, PTSD, insomnia, allergies, TMJ, migraine, back pain, sciatica, arthritis, fatigue, autoimmune disorders, hormonal imbalance, fertility, painful periods, IBS, and IBD (Crohn’s and Ulcerative colitis).

Cupping is a healing modality used to increase circulation to areas of stagnant blood and energy. Cupping feels like a deep tissue massage and can vary in intensity based on individual’s need. Commonly used to alleviate pain, release muscle tension and facilitate circulation.

Acupuncture can help the body reach levels of deep relaxation, which can benefit your sleep quality and help you feel more energized during the day.

Season Change
Acupuncture is an excellent resource to help your body acclimate and flow through all the seasons of the year more effortlessly.

Immune System
Acupuncture strengthens the immune system by boosting our defensive Qi (the energy that protects us from invasion of pathogenic factors that make us sick).

Seasonal Allergies
Acupuncture can increase energy and alleviate symptoms such as sinus congestion, headache, mental fog, and prevents allergy flair ups.
