Liz has been a massage therapist for more than 20 years. She uses a combination of Swedish and deep tissue techniques along with trigger point, and intuition. She also brings her love of hot stones and aromatherapy to use in all her sessions. Read more about Liz here.

Beth

Beth Ommerborn is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant. She has been a LMT since graduating from the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in 1998 and is educated in both Eastern and Western therapeutic modalities, specializing in Deep Tissue Massage, Medical Massage and Trigger Point Therapy. Beth has been an athlete throughout her life and still enjoys hiking, running and biking as well as traveling, whether it’s to visit with family upstate or to other countries to learn about different cultures.

Marilyn

Marilyn has over thirteen years of massage and wellness experience. Blending works of ancestral healing she’s developed a signature touch in her practice.

Marilyn has worked for over a decade at the highly respected Cowshed spa in Soho House NY. While at Soho house she gathered experience as a team leader and has worked closely with the founders to help shape a top tier spa experience for its members and guests.

To further and balance her practice she began volunteering in 2014 with The Dubin Breast Center at the hospital of Mount Sinai. There she began her training as an Oncology Massage Therapist. Over the past six years Marilyn has massaged women who are in pre/post surgery and treatment for breast and ovarian cancers. Assisting them in lymphatic cleansing and treating post surgery scar tissue.

Marilyn is excited to bring her knowledge and experience of WELLness to her native Brooklyn community and eager to be part of the cityWell team

Vernessa is a NYC licensed massage therapist. She graduated from the New York College of Health Professions and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She believes that connecting the mind, body and soul is the key to healthy living. Each of her massage sessions is custom-created combining several modalities to get the best therapeutic results.

Ben

Ben Antar is a licensed massage therapist (LMT) here in NYC, the city he grew up in. Through approaching massage from an orthopedic standpoint, Ben works with his clients to achieve a rejuvenated functionality for the body. His foundations  are rooted in the kinesiological understanding of body movement, and how he can help find our way to a healthier life. Because we use our bodies vigorously every day, it’s important we do a refresh, and revitalize ourselves back to a grounded neutral.

Acupuncturist

Natalie

Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Natalie was exposed to the healing power of nature and the five elements from a young age. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition from the University of Vermont and a passion for food and healing. She gained a deep passion and understanding of Eastern Medicine in her extensive, graduate level training and clinical work at the New England School of Acupuncture. She specializes in Japanese style acupuncture and has worked with a variety of conditions including: PTSD, anxiety disorders, infertility, IBS, migraine, TMJ and acute and chronic pain. Natalie is a New York State licensed Acupuncturist excited to provide services to those in search of holistic healing.

Spa/Community Coordinator

Jae

Jae (he/they) has been coordinating and hosting community events for 10 years. Bringing people together from all different walks of life and celebrating occasions big and small is always his favorite part. They are passionate about wellness and nutrition as a means to create preventative healthcare, especially after successfully managing their own chronic illness through several mindfulness modalities. Jae has a background in writing, education, and linguistics and loves to talk about words, especially fun ones to say like “copacetic,” “jovial,” and “zhuzh.”

Stephon Ciele, a native Brooklynite, is deeply rooted in the art of holistic healing, with a passion for the field of wellness. They’ve honed their skills in various forms of alternative therapies, including herbalism, somatic activated healing, and meditation. Raised in the city, they draw inspiration from their diverse surroundings as well as their practice which includes elements of both traditional and modern innovation.
Stephon strives to empower all to achieve optimal health and vitality, embracing a holistic approach that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. As assistant manager they are dedicated to educating clients on
the benefits of hydrotherapy and guiding them on their journey toward greater well-being and harmony.

Spa Coordinator

Cove

Cove Barton is a movement artist and filmmaker based in Brooklyn (Lenapehoking territory). His recent endeavors include performing at PERFORMA Biennial 2023, touring nationally with company ChrisMastersDance in 2023, working with Ballez Company since 2022, and self-producing a new piece with collaborator Felix Byron. Outside of his performing life, he has over five years of work in customer service and administration. Barton finds that the healing nature of hydrotherapy and massage compliments his athletic art form, and provides relief for his muscle tightness and chronic joint pain. In his time at cityWell, he aims to educate guests about the benefits of hydrotherapy, and create a welcoming environment where all, especially his trans/GNC community, can feel at home.
