When is cityWell brooklyn open?
We are open all year-round, everyday of the week.

How many people can the space accommodate?
At this time, we still limit the number of guests in the space at the same time, but we are slowly opening the space for more guests, during private parties, Community Hydro, and special events.

Is hydrotherapy included with my massage?
It’s not, but if you’d like to use our soaking tub, steam room or sauna  – you can either book online and add it to the massage, or call us to see if we can accommodate you.

What happens if I book an outdoor session and it rains?
Our facilities remain open during rain and snow. Our pergola is covered, and we can provide massage services in the Cabin or inside if necessary.

If the weather is extreme with high winds, lightning, heavy snow, or sleet,  please give us a call 347-294-0100, or we will contact you to reschedule.

Can I drop in to use the hydrotherapy?
Unfortunately not, we are an appointment-only space. We ask you to book ahead for Community and Private hydrotherapy sessions.

What is included in hydrotherapy sessions?
Private hydrotherapy sessions include robes, (except community style hydro) towels, filtered water, tea, fruit & almonds.

Do I have to wear a bathing suit??
Yes, bathing suits  must be worn at all times. Thank you for understanding!

Are cell phones allowed at cityWell?
Please think about leaving it in your locker, and silence it. You deserve a break! However, we do love it if you take pictures, don’t forget to tag us too @citywellbrookly  (if you don’t mind!) 📸

Arrival Time
We recommend that you arrive 5 minutes before your appointment, to sign in, and fill out any forms we may need.

If it is your first time at cityWell, we ask you to fill out a massage or acupuncture online intake form, or a hydrotherapy waiver (if you use our hydrotherapy amenities) prior to your visit. Links will be sent to you by email a day before your appointment.

Late Arrival
Our appointments are designed to allow enough time to fully enjoy our services. Late arrivals may limit our ability to offer the complete experience, and we are not able to add extra time to your service. You may be charged in full, even for a partial treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations for Massage, Body Treatments, Acupuncture, Private Hydrotherapy, and Packages:

Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us by email at least 24 hours in advance. Any cancellations within the 24-hour window will be subject to a fee of 50% of the cost of the scheduled appointment.

Same day cancellations for Massage or Body Treatments will be charged a $50 minimum fee to cover the therapist. For Packages, or Private Hydro for small groups (3-5 people), we may need to charge 50% of the service.

Please understand that when you cancel without giving us enough notice, we miss the opportunity to offer the available spot to other clients.

No-shows
Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged in full for the cost of the scheduled service.

No-shows for Hydro Happy Hour, Community Hydro + Community Acupuncture
Because of the popularity and the limited availability of those sessions, tickets won’t be exchanged or refunded. If you can’t make it, think about offering your ticket(s) to a friend!

Yes! We love hosting Private Parties! Our parties are for 8 to 10 guests, but we now allow up to 12 for an extra fee. Find more information about how to book a party, and our offerings here.

What are my payment options?
We accept cash and all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Venmo, and of course our cityWell gift cards (they never expire). If you would like to pre-pay your service, call us and let us know, and we will take care of it for you. You can also add your credit card information when booking and we can just charge it on your way out.

We require a credit card to book your appointment even if you are planning to pay with another form of payment.

Is gratuity included?
No, gratuity is not included, but always appreciated by the service provider and/or spa attendants.  It is best to leave tips in cash, or Venmo (all our therapists have their own accounts). Otherwise, add them to your payment when checking out.

Personal items
Please keep your valuables at home, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. We provide lockers with locks that you can use to put your clothing, purse and phone. If you leave something behind please call and let us know. We will save it for you in our lost & found. However, if the items are left for more than 2 months with no word we will donate them.

Precautions for use of hydrotherapy
We are taking extra measures to check on the well-being of our clients prior to their appointment.

Please inform us of any health conditions or allergies when you fill out your intake forms.

If you are fasting, have a history of seizures or fainting, we do not recommend using hydrotherapy. Always limit your time in the steam room, soaking tub or saunas to a maximum of 10 minutes at a time. It is important to cool down in between sessions, so take a refreshing shower!

Hydrotherapy is healing, and relaxing, if you use it properly. Always, drink plenty of water before and during your session to prevent dehydration. Be mindful of alcohol consumption (before, during your session).

We ask that you refrain from visiting us if you or a household member have a fever, show any other COVID-19 symptoms, or you have been in contact with anyone who has recently tested positive.

Can I use hydrotherapy if I’m pregnant?
It is generally advised not to use heated elements (steam, hot tub or sauna) when you are pregnant. Please check with your doctor before coming.

We do however offer prenatal massages to relieve the strains of pregnancy, and revitalizing foot soaks and foot massages that are great to soothe tired legs and feet.
